The service

Shield n Shelter provides independent home security consulting: assessments, placement plans, system designs, and related advisory deliverables. We sell advice only — no hardware, no installation, no monitoring.

Advisory nature

Our recommendations materially reduce risk when implemented, but no security plan can guarantee that a crime or loss will never occur. Implementation quality, maintenance, and circumstances beyond our control affect outcomes.

Fees

Every engagement is a flat fee agreed in writing before payment. There are no subscriptions, recurring charges, or commissions of any kind.

Your report

Deliverables are licensed to you perpetually for personal use: keep them, share them with any installer, reuse them when you move. Resale or republication as a commercial product is not permitted.

Independence

We accept no compensation from equipment brands, vendors, or installers. If any brand ever offers it, we refuse it.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising from an engagement is limited to the fee paid for that engagement.
